The BridgeMatch Process is the evaluation and hiring methodology employed by experienced Bridge Managers that consistently delivers qualified candidates.

Thorough Qualification and Evaluation = Better Matches

Phone Screening
Our process begins with a resume and initial phone screening. At this stage we are assessing our candidates ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner. The candidate’s previous work history is discussed. We focus on stable work histories and individuals who can provide details about their job responsibilities and accomplishments. If a candidate passes our phone screen, they are invited for a professional interview. The candidate is then directed to our website so that they can fill out our online application.

On-Site Interview
Every candidate that passes the phone screening has an in depth, face-to-face interview with an experienced Bridge Manager. Each candidate is evaluated in these terms:
  • Candidate Definition of Professional. How did the candidate interpret our instruction “to come prepared for a professional interview?”
  • Review of Professional Experience. By analyzing the responses to questions pertaining to both past and current positions, we are able to define positive or negative behavior patterns, get an accurate reflection of their accomplishments and a proper assessment of their skills. We can also assess the true reasons and circumstances for changing jobs.
  • Eye Contact and Body Language. Our managers are trained and skilled in assessing the non-verbal communication of every candidate. Non-verbal communication tells a great deal about people. It provides insight on whether people are being honest and straightforward, their confidence in themselves and their job skills as well as their interest level in a particular position.
  • Character Assessment through Behavioral Interviewing. We are trying to assess characteristics such as dependability, motivation, integrity, intelligence and personality. By describing a work situation, carefully listening and assessing the reactions and answers of a candidate, we determine how this person will respond to different circumstances within a specific work environment.
Technical Skill Assessment and Training
  • Bridge utilizes an internet-based testing software to accurately assess candidate aptitudes in various office skills and software packages at a beginner, intermediate and advanced level. Bridge customizes our testing procedures to meet the individual needs of each of our clients.
  • Bridge also offers free software training and tutorials for both our candidates and our clients’ existing employees.
Reference and Background Screening
Employment References – As part of our evaluation process, a Bridge manager will verify two employment references. We make sure the references are of a supervisory capacity, and make inquiries pertaining to the candidate's quality of work, attitude, dependability, attendance, and their avoidance of office drama.

Background Screening Services – These screens are performed only on the direct request of our clients and are billed on a pass through basis.
  • Felony and Misdemeanor Background check – County Court System
  • Criminal Background check – National Database
  • Drug Screening
  • Social Security Verification and Trace
  • Credit History
  • Office of Inspector General/GSA – Excluded Individuals list
  • Terrorist Watch List
Hiring Process
Once a candidate is identified and recommended for hiring, these are the final steps in the process:
  • The candidate signs all of our employment related documents – See Protecting Our Clients Section.
  • A Bridge orientation is conducted with the employee. We educate them on our policies and procedures, as well as discuss our expectations about performance and professionalism.
  • Once the employee has been recommended for a specific client assignment, we conduct a customized client orientation to explain your policies and procedures.
